Here and thereFormer Revs striker Pat Noonan is expected to be traded to Columbus after re-signing with the league from Norwegian club Aalesunds FK, sources close to the deal said.The Crew are expected to send allocation money, a first-round draft pick and the rights to swap allocation slots to the Revs for the veteran striker. . . .

***We are pretty sure that RSL was interested in Noonan. Yesterday Bill Manning mentioned on Kall 700 that there was a major deal that went down that we had tried to participate in but failed***

Is it important for you to make a second acquisition to keep up with the other teams that are making moves, or is that a luxury? Kreis: I mean, we are looking to add another player. We want players that aren’t only good on the field, but they are good men off the field. So we won’t add a player just to add one. It has to be a right fit for us both on the field and off.

Are you fairly optimistic that that can happen during this window? Kreis: I think so. I think we’ve got a couple of very good options that we are milling over right now. And hopefully one of those will come to fruition.
