Dollar Dogs From RSLexpress

There has been a bit of a buzz going around about $1 dogs through RSLexpress for Friday’s game against FC Dallas. I’ve seen and heard reference to it in quite a few places, so I thought I’d look into it a little more.

Here’s the deal: for this game only you can get $1 dogs delivered to your seat by just simply texting your order in. And on top of that they’ll waive the delivery fee. You’ll want to register an account before you go, but it’s an easy process.

This service seems perfectly suited for American soccer. In American sports the concessions seem to be an important part of the fan experience, but with soccer there are no breaks in action and the worst thing in the world is to miss a goal while visiting the bathroom or concessions stand.

Giveaways:

All-Star tickets: For those who register and use the RSLexpress service at Friday’s game, they will be entered into a drawing to win tickets to next Wednesday’s All-Star game.

World Cup – South Africa: When you register for the service you’ll also be entered into a drawing to win a trip to South Africa to witness the World Cup next summer. In addition, for every order that you place you’ll receive an additional entry into this drawing.

Up until this point this service has been available only at Rio Tinto Stadium, but I understand Mangia plans to launch this service at other venues soon.

I haven’t yet tried the service, but plan to give the dollar dog a whirl. I’ll let you know what I think. If any of you have used the service (or if you try it out on Friday), please let me know your thoughts.
