Practice Notes: Tuesday Oct 14, 2008

I was able to attend today's chilly practice at Xango field. Not alot to report, but here are a few tidbits:

• Espindola practiced some with the team. He had been mainly doing strength and conditioning work at practice. I understand that he has some soreness in his foot still. He did look pretty tentative. My guess is that the team will keep him out another week. Depending on the weekend results it could be that they could rest him an additional week.
• Borchers was not with the team today. Not sure of the reason, but I understand that he did pick up a nick of some sort in practice yesterday.
• The practice was fairly intense and competitive. It also lasted longer than 2 hours, and Wingert, Joy, Johnson and Movsisyan stayed around for 20 minutes at the end. The backs were practicing their crossing and Will/Yura were practicing their finishing.
• Reserves left practice early as they were travelling to LA for a makeup reserve match.
