MLS Cup tidbits

There was a teleconference held yesterday with Galaxy Coach Bruce Arena and Defender Gregg Berhalter, and with RSL Coach Jason Kreis and Goalkeeper Nick Rimando.  Rather than type up the text of this, here is the link on MLSnet.  A couple of quotes are listed below, and additional Cup information that has been provided by MLSnet.

Quotables from Yesterday’s Teleconference

“At the moment, [Real Salt Lake players] are playing close to their capabilities and close to their potential. I believe that if they continue to do that this weekend, we've got every shot in the world and I don't care what any record or stat might say.”

- RSL Coach Jason Kreis

“Every time this team’s been knocked down a little bit, they got up. And you could see that character starting to develop as early as that date in June when we played Toronto. That to me was perhaps the first indication that we were a team that we had a chance to be a team that could qualify for the playoffs.”

- Galaxy Coach Bruce Arena, referring to his team’s 2-1 victory at Toronto on June 6.
